Project F1NDX

Digital Safety Education for Florida’s Youth Communities

I was scrolling through the news the other day and came across an article about kids in care and adoption centers. About 400,000 children in these systems. Only around 10–12% finish high school. About 3% of that small number graduate from college. I read that and asked myself: What happens to the rest of them?

Growing up, I was always the left-out kid. The one who didn’t fit, the one nobody explained anything to. When I saw those numbers, I felt a familiar ache.

If I’m going to share my passion, it’s going to be with kids who deserve guidance the most and get it the least. My background is in OSINT and cyber. I know how information moves, how people can be found, how vulnerable you are online when you don’t even know what you don’t know.

That’s how Project F1NDX came to life in my head.

My long-term goal is to visit adoption centers across Florida and give the kids a day of basic digital safety and online awareness.

  • Helping kids recognize online dangers
  • Understanding how their information might be used
  • Learning how to protect their privacy
  • Knowing when and how to ask for help

This is just the start. There’s a lot I want to build here, and I’m taking it one step at a time. If there is one thing I learned in life, it is that we don't control the past, but we can most certainly make the future brighter.
